Two-day workshop ‘Development of Key Competency Skills of Administrators of Centres for Administrative Services’

On 17-18 December 2014, the workshop ‘Development of Key Competency Skills of Administrators of Centres for Administrative Services’ was held within the framework of the Reform of Municipal Services in Eastern Ukraine Project in Kyiv.  The workshop was attended by about 100 state aministrators of the Centres for Administrative Services (CAS) of the cities of oblast significance and rayon centres of Ukraine.
 
The Reform of Municipal Services in Eastern Ukraine Project being implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH supports the initiatives of the Government of Ukraine and local councils aimed at building the open society, better governance, strengthening of local authorities and improving conditions for the provision of administrative and public utility services.
 
Within the scope of improvement of administrative service delivery the cooperation is aimed at creating comfortable and accessible conditions of administrative service provision for individual and legal entities. The Project supports the network of Centres for Administrative Services (CAS) at the national level.  The key tasks of CAS network are:

  • exchange of best practices in administrative service delivery sphere;
  • optimization of administrative service delivery procedures;
  • development of recommendations on harmonization of legislation;
  • support of CAS information systems;
  • development of key competency skills of CAS administrators.

 
The keynote of this workshop was the development of key competency skills of CAS administrators. The workshop was aimed at acquisition of practical skills on effective customer-oriented communication, conflict management and self-management instruments.
