New initiatives and innovation approaches to solid household waste management based on inter-municipal cooperation principles

On 25 October 2019 the Global Programme – Supporting the Export Initiative for Environmental Technologies implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) was presented at the roundtable “New Initiatives and Innovation Approaches to Solid Household Waste Management based on Inter-Municipal Cooperation Principles”.

The roundtable participants were the Acting Head of Poltava Oblast State Administration, Head of Poltava Oblast Council, representatives of sectoral departments of the Oblast Administration, Poltava National Technical Yuriy Kondratyuk University and Poltava Oblast Centre for Professional Improvement of the Employees of State Authorities, Local Self-Governments, State-Owned Enterprises, Institutions and Organisations. Mayors and heads of Rayons of the North-Western Sub-Region introduced the current state and prospects for solid household waste management.

The representatives of GIZ presented the objective, tasks and the planned activities of the Global Programme – Supporting the Export Initiative for Environmental Technologies in Ukraine. Afterwards, the Cooperation Agreement on the project implementation was signed.
