Cooperation Agreement between the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and Poltava Oblast Administration is under way

On 17 May 2017, a working meeting was held under the charge of Volodymyr Salogub at the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast. The meeting aimed to discuss the aspects of implementation of the pilot project on the establishment of efficient local emergency response management system as a part of the State Civil Protection System in Shyshaky amalgamated community. The pilot project also comprises the establishment of additional local fire-rescue station in Bilotserkivka amalgamated community. The initiatives are implemented in the framework of Cooperation Agreement between the SESU and Poltava Oblast Administration with the support of the Reform of Municipal Services in Eastern Ukraine Project implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

This time the meeting participants discussed structural features of the Civil Safety Centre to be constructed soon in Mykhailyky Village (Shyshaky Rayon) and co-financing of construction works by Shyshaky amalgamated community and international technical assistance funds.

In order to coordinate further joint activities, the meeting participants included all involved parties, namely the Main Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Poltava Oblast, Shyshaky amalgamated community, engineering company, Inter-Municipal Cooperation Resource Centre under the All-Ukrainian Association of Village and Settlement Councils and the Reform of Municipal Services in Eastern Ukraine Project.
